Calling All Artists: The HeART of Orange County All Media Juried Art Exhibition
EXTRA! EXTRA! The heArt of Orange County All Media 2020 Juried Art Exhibition has a new submission deadline. Entries accepted through May 3rd!
All you Orange County creatives! It’s time to submit your masterpieces to our upcoming juried exhibition, The heART of Orange County All Media 2020, presented collaboratively with Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA). Your deadline is now MAY 3rd and that will be here before you know it! Click here to enter!
You know us, we like to mix it up! Diversity makes an interesting exhibit, so the subject matter is up to you! Our only requirement is that you live or work in Orange County. That means you can submit artwork in any STYLE, any SUBJECT and any MEDIUM to showcase your talents!
Submit your best work – nearly anything goes: abstract, acrylic, botanical, ceramic, contemporary craft, drawing, fiber/textile, figurative, floral, glass, jewelry, landscape, mixed media, metal, oil, pastel, photography, printmaking, still life, watercolor, wood and more.
We’re pleased to announce that our juror will be the award-winning fine artist, Naomi Shachar.
So… you know the focus on your creativity. You know who our amazing juror will be. You know when the submission deadline is (hint hint… it’s MAY 3RD!). But, did you also know that there will be at least $1600 in CASH AWARDS announced at the opening reception on June 27th? It’s true! Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Traditional, Contemporary, and Contemporary Craft. Could yours be one of the names announced?
We need YOUR help in spreading the word. Be sure to share the call to artists with all your artistic friends and any arts organizations you belong to. And lastly, HAVE FUN! The more creative you are, the better your chances are of being selected for exhibiting and for winning one of those cash awards.

With our whole heART, we thank you! From the zillions of guests attending, our 64 talented artists, TACFA’s outstanding volunteers, the support of Enderle Center, to our thoughtful judge, Barbara Thompson….we couldn’t ask for more!
The 99 piece exhibit is an interesting mix of style, subject, & medium representing many of the best artists in Orange County. With careful deliberation, Barbara selected her prize-winners in three categories: Contemporary Craft, Contemporary, and Traditional. Sharyn Cable of Enderle Center, one of our generous sponsors, also contributed “Enderle Choice” awards. Congratulations to all!
BTW, TACFA’s Broadway in the Park production will be “West Side Story”. We are hoping Rita Moreno will reprise her role!

The heART of Orange County All Media 2019, Juried Exhibit

Better & bigger every year! 64 Orange County artists & more than 90 works of art will grace our walls and display stands. This will be our 7th year partnering with Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA), to bring you this unique annual juried exhibition.
The only show of its kind in Orange County, “The heART of Orange County” exhibit features 2-D wall art, as well as, contemporary craft including wood, ceramics, glass, fiber and jewelry. A wide range of styles, subjects and media will be represented. Whether you lean to abstract or traditional works, you will likely find works of interest. Everything is available for purchase. Help our arts community thrive!
This year’s juror is Barbara Thompson, MFA. She has been a respected artist, judge and coordinator in the fine art world for more than 25 years. Barbara has served as a juror for the San Diego County Fair Fine Art Photography Competition, as the Visual Arts Coordinator for the Orange County Fair for 16 years and as the Fine Art Coordinator for the California State Fair in 2017. Barbara was the Director as well as Exhibition Coordinator during her 12-year association with the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art where she oversaw both curated and juried exhibits. She now installs and curates exhibitions for the Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum at the Fullerton Arboretum.
It all happens April 27th, 5:30 – 8:00pm at Chemers Gallery… artist reception, awards ceremony and, of course, TACFA’s Broadway in the Park REVEAL!
Be among the first to know which rousing Broadway production will be performed this summer in Tustin’s own Peppertree Park. Past productions include Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. Now in its 19th year, TACFA’s annual Broadway in the Park event brings together community and professional performers from Chance Theater to enjoy an evening of visual magic under the stars.
Join us and more than 20 artists on Saturday, May 11th 1-5 pm to stroll the artist demonstrations as you soak-in the last day of the juried show. Pick up the work you purchased during the show or buy that one you’ve been eyeing for 2 long weeks before someone else snaps it up!

What an extraordinary opening reception for The heART of Orange County All Media 2018 juried exhibition! Several hundred guests packed the house – we were absolutely astounded!
With 67 participating artists and nearly 100 accepted pieces of artwork, our jurors, Jonathan Burke (President of LCAD) and Hope Railey (Chair of Fine Art at LCAD) had their work cut out for them. After much considered discussion and thought, Jonathan and Hope selected their prize-winners in three different categories: Contemporary Craft, Contemporary and Traditional. Rounding out the mix was Sharyn Cable of Enderle Center, one of our generous sponsors, with her award choices. Congratulations to all!

Juried Art Exhibition

It’s our most eclectic community exhibition yet! Together with Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA), we welcome over 60 local artists to our annual juried exhibition. Our 11th yearly collaboration brings a new focus to the mix – the best artwork from Orange County artists in all styles, all subjects and all media will be represented and available for purchase. Help our arts community thrive!
Our 2018 jurors are Jonathan Burke, President of Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) and Hope Railey, LCAD’s Fine Arts Chair. Together, they have selected the cream of the crop, from oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel to ceramic, wood, glass and silver and more.
