The heART of Orange County All Media 2022, Juried Exhibition

Save The Date!

The wait is over! We are pleased to announce the artists featured in the 10th annual heART of Orange County All Media Juried Exhibition. With over 70 Orange County Artists & more than 90 works of art we will be celebrating the diverse creativity of our community.

The excitement begins Saturday, May 14th, 11am-4pm and continues through May 28th.

Our juried exhibition is unique and varied consisting of all subjects and styles in a wide range of mediums. Expect the unexpected in 2D works in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, jewelry, photography, wood, ceramics, glass, textiles, mixed media, sculptures, wearables and more!

This year’s juror is award-winning fine artist and educator Kim VanDerHoek. As always we are proud to be partnering with the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts to bring you this event. Now in its 27th year, TACFA’s mission is to develop, showcase & support the arts in the greater Tustin Area.

Calling All Orange County Artists!

 

Although it has been another year of uncertainty, Chemers Galley is always looking ahead! During the pandemic we have hosted 7 safe & successful events thanks to our wonderful clients & artists. We are so excited to announce that The heART of Orange County 2022, Juried Exhibition is open for submissions! Send us your best in all styles, mediums, and subjects. This means acrylic, ceramic, drawing, fiber/textile, glass, jewelry, mixed media, metal, oil, pastel, photography, printmaking, watercolor, wood, and more!

This diverse in person showing of Orange County artists draws attention to the wide range of creative talent in our community, and it will all take place on Saturday, May 14th 2022

This year’s juror is Kim VanDerHoek, award winning artist and instructor. You may recognize VanDerHoek’s name from her fantastic artwork that has been gracing the walls of Chemers Gallery for almost a decade! Her studio, plein air, and up in the air cloudscapes always impress. Collectors seek her signature style using texture and rich color to set the scene.

Book Signing with Illustrators Robin Preiss Glasser & Raúl Colón

Saturday, October 16th 1:00-4:30pm all the fun happens here at Chemers Gallery!

It has been a long 8 years since our last illustrator book signing! We know you have missed it as much as us and we can’t wait to bring back this popular event! Meet the minds behind the imagery that has brought color and wonder to so many families.

Robin Preiss Glasser will be signing her yet to be released ballet book, “Grand Jeté and Me”. These will be first edition copies not available anywhere else! Not to mention, she will also be signing your favorites from the Fancy Nancy collection!

Raúl Colón will be signing his newest releases, “Already a Butterfly”, and “Child of the Universe”, as well as other popular titles. Fresh off of his award for the 2021 Carle Museum Lifetime Achievement and Innovation Award, you won’t want to miss your chance to take home signed copies of Raúl’s wonderful books.

Original illustrations and limited edition prints will also be available on October 16th and as always at Chemers Gallery.

This event will take place indoors and outdoors. Masks will be required when inside the gallery as well as when visiting the illustrator’s tables.

Art in Action!

Join us and 20+ artists from The heART of Orange County All Media 2021 Juried exhibition as they share their magic creating with paint, pencils, pastels, beading and more!

Spend your Saturday afternoon by strolling the sidewalks and watching art come to life! Snacks will be provided when you need to recharge! No masks required outside, but we request you wear them inside the gallery.

The heARTistry happens on August 7th from 11am – 4pm at Chemers Gallery. Connect with your favorite artists and see the unique techniques that result in the works you love. What a wonderful way to celebrate the finale of our juried exhibition!

We are so excited to announce the artists featured in the 9th annual heART of Orange County All Media Juried Exhibition. With over 60 Orange County Artists & more than 80 works of art we will be celebrating the diverse creativity of our community.

SOLD OUT! The excitement begins Saturday, July 24 5:30pm- 8pm by reservation only at the artist reception and awards ceremony. The show continues though August 7th.

Our juried exhibition is unique and varied consisting of all subjects and styles in a wide range of mediums. Expect the unexpected in 2D works in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, fiber, photography and more. Sculpture and wearables are also featured in this one if a kind show.  Wood, ceramics, glass, textiles and mixed media are represented.

This years Juror is Stephen Anderson, a fine artist as well as the exhibition & event coordinator at the OC Fair and Event Center. As always are proud to be partnering with Tustin Area Counsel for Fine Arts to bring you this event. Entry to the gallery will be traffic controlled each day to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among patrons, staff, and artisans. Social distancing enforced and masks are mandatory for entry.

Artisans will have a vast array of one-of-a-kind items to peruse and purchase. Since 1978, Chemers Gallery has been providing fine art and quality custom framing in Orange County. The gallery hosts several shows each year and continually exhibits the work of exceptional artists, both local and international.
