Ayala Bar New season is just around the corner. If you can’t wait to see them in person… we have the catalog at the gallery to tempt you! |
Even though some may say that patience is a virtue, we think you’ve been patient enough! At long last, the Spring/Summer 2017 line of Ayala Bar jewelry is here, and it’s stunning! With brilliant aquas, gorgeous greens, scrumptious raspberries, versatile neutrals and more, these new pieces are magnificent.
Bold statement pieces pair with soft, feminine style for a look that is unforgettable, or choose a small delicate piece to accent your outfit. Intricate beadwork, fiber, faceted glass and decorative papers are the hallmark of this talented jewelry designer. Many of this season’s color ways are titled to echo exotic flora, like Alchemilla, Dianella and Hellebore and feature vibrant hues and fresh combinations. The ecclectic Essentia Collection ranges from earthy rust and olive fabric, thread and yes, even zipper components to vivid turquoise and strawberry. New this season is the addition of fiber-covered chains on select necklaces and bracelets. You just have to see these beauties in person!
Ayala Bar’s keen eye for detail was honed while working as a costume designer in Israel. A self-confessed bead collector, she is equally excited by the possibilities presented through her chosen materials as she is by everyday occurrences like a walk to her studio through a fruit market. Influences of color, smell, sound and memory all combine to spark this prolific artist’s limited edition creations.
Try one or try them all, but you won’t want to wait to see these gorgeous new jewelry designs as they are already flying out the door! And, once this season is finished in a few short months, they won’t be available any longer. You can preview a selection of Ayala Bar’s work on our website, but there are soooo more and they are soooo much prettier in person! So, don’t delay and plan your visit to Chemers Gallery today!
Good things come to those who wait…and you’ve waited long enough for the newest season of Ayala Bar jewelry! It’s HERE! We say this every time, but this season is her best one yet!
This talented Israeli artist is working constantly to craft a jewelry line that is at once dramatic and playful, elevating the ordinary by pairing color, texture and shape in unexpected ways. Every six months, she unveils an entirely new selection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more in a multitude of colors and designs. Can you believe that Ayala composes over 200 new pieces for each new collection?! What a master of creativity!
And, as if creating 200 new designs weren’t enough, Ayala has introduced a line of double-sided necklaces and bracelets! We’d love to show you, but we sold them all before we could take any pictures. Oops. We have more arriving in a couple of weeks.
Ayala’s color compositions are always on point. With names like Aurora, Bohemia and Dark Forest, every color collection evokes the magic of traveling to exotic lands. Rich greens, blues and gold shimmer like the late afternoon sun on a pool of water, while plum, fuchsia and bronze blend like a prismatic tapestry.
Crafted in fabric, metal, beads, faceted glass and mineral stones, Ayala Bar’s creations are wonderful, wearable mico mosaics. Her work ranges from bold statements to subtle everyday sparkle. Every adornment is effortlessly stylish. Whatever your passion, you’re sure to find one of Ayala’s stunning limited edition pieces that will take your breath away.
In typical dramatic flair, Ayala Bar has unveiled her newest line of limited edition necklaces, earrings and bracelets and we couldn’t be ore excited! Every 6 months, we anxiously await the change of the seasons to see what this talented Israeli designer has created. The Fall/Winter collection is here and wow, it’s a stunner!
Ayala began creating what would become her signature jewelry style in the 1980’s. Although she studied art, her education didn’t include metalsmithing or jewelry design. Instead she taught herself the art of “matchmaking” and began creating wearable collages that were reminiscent of Byzantine mosaics. As time went on, Ayala’s style evolved to incorporate seasonal colors and fashion influences.
The artist’s primary source of inspiration stems from the unorthodox materials she uses. Ayala is a pro at using unexpected materials and pairing them in unique ways! Everything from beads, mineral stones and crushed glass to fall leaves, wood and fabrics from around the world finds a home in her glimmering, shimmering creations.
Colors this season capture the playful rays of late summer sun, the shift and shortening of days into autumn and the richness and glitz of early winter. Teal pairs effortlessly with turquoise and purple in the Aqua collection. Rich bronze, plum and gold shimmer together in the Ocean Blue color way. Motifs of flowers, leaves and pure pattern feature under cut glass and merge with Ayala’s other materials to tell a complete story. And who could forget her newer style of delicate silver filigree paired with just a hint of color? We are in L-O-V-E!
Run, don’t walk, into Chemers Gallery to view these stunning new creations in person! We promise, you won’t be disappointed!
